Avoiding Microplastics

  1. Do not use plastic bottles or metal cans (includes food and drink). Favour glass, ceramic, steel.
  2. Use reverse-osmosis to remove 99.9% of microplastics from water. Also removes: heavy metals, bacteria, chemicals like BPA/PFAS. You must add minerals back into the water such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, etc (long list) (use remineralization filters, mineral drops, or suppliments)
  3. Avoid packaged foods as much as possible.
  4. Microwave safe does not mean the chemicals will not leech into foods, it just means it wont melt. Do not heat foods in plastic.
  5. Avoid non-stick pans.
  6. BPA-free is not necessarily safe. (they replace with other harmful substances: BPS, pthalates)
  7. Avoid take-away paper cups (coffee) (they’re lined with plastic).
  8. Rock salt (like pink Himalayan) has the least plastic contamination. Avoid sea salt.
  9. Sweating removes BPAs
  10. Fibre removes microplastics from the gut: Fiber-fruits, Vegetables, Oats.
  11. Eat sulforaphane-containing vegetables: raw/lightly-cooked brocolli, cauliflower, brocolli sprouts; to detox the liver.
  12. Donating blood reduces PFAS and heavy metals.
